Hustle overview

Hustle is a British television drama series made by Kudos film and television for BBC one. It was first broadcast in 2004 and made a total of 8 series with 6 episodes per series and a total of 48 episodes in total, the programme had a running time of 60 minutes.
The series follows a group of con artists who specialise in long cons extended deceptions which require greater commitment, but which return a higher reward than simple confidence tricks. The main character and the leader of the group is Michael 'Mickey Bricks' Stone played by Adrian Lester he is the one who organises the hustle and also picks the mark to to scam, normally the marks are people who have done bad things with peoples money, being greedy with money or have scammed people themselves. The hustle is normally set up so that everybody has a role to play in it, the gang get to know the mark before they hustle them.
Hustle appeals to the audience as it is a light hearted drama and it is not an intense programme to watch also the succes of other types of hustling shows and films such as Oceans Eleven and Mission Impossible have increased the popularity of this type of drama.
